These are used in domestic and commercial boilers, washing machines, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, hospital sterlizers and laboratory baths. Immersion Heaters are also extensively employed in catering equipment such as kettels, coffee machines etc. For water heating a copper sheathed element is usually used and is often nickel plated to improve its appearance and to resist corrosion. For special purpose stainless steel (Various Grade)/Incoloy sheathed element are used.
